Cozumel Bomberos Air Filling Station

On March 11, 2024, the Island of Cozumel Fire Department received a donation of an “Air Filling Station” to augment the 2022 donation of a Bauer breathing air 4500 psi compressor. Both the compressor and air fill station were donated by Stathis Themelidis. In addition, Stathis supported the island with his best technician, Javier Gomez, to install all the equipment and instruct the bomberos in air filling operations.

Cozumel Fire Department has a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) air cylinder placement and filling procedure. This air filing station adds a 100% increased safety margin, as well as significantly decreased air cylinder filling time frames for large emergency incidents or training needs.
